Actor Dane Dehaan

Prada has cast rising actor Dane Dehaan as its spring/summer 2014 menswear star, his second campaign apperance for the label, confirming that his is a name to know indeed. Miuccia Prada has an almost psychic eye for hiring future stars in her campaigns, always capturing them at the cusp of their big-time successes. Previous Prada campaign alumnus includes Malaika Firth, Lindsey Wixson and Sasha Pivovarova, while the designer's contemporary label Miu Miu counts Mia Wasikowska and Hailee Steinfeld as its former faces.
So who is Dehaan? Hailing from Pennsylvania, he first became known for his roles in television shows In Treatment and True Blood, before being cast as Ryan Gosling's troubled son in The Place Beyond The Pines. The 27-year-old - who is married to actress Anna Wood - starred as Lucien Carr, lynchpin of the original beat poets, in Kill Your Darlings, playing opposite Daniel Radcliffe. The two appear together in intimate sex scenes that have attracted mass attention since the film was released in December last year. Next up is his part in the Amazing Spider Man sequel, in which he features as the villainous Harry Osborne. This week the 27-year-old American was shortlisted for accolade, alongside Léa Seydoux and Lupita Nyong'O, suggesting that awards recognition is not far off.
Acting aside, Dehaan is also writing his first screenplay, a dark comedy, although he maintains that it isn't ready for public consumption yet. Whether as a writer or actor, Dehaan is stardom bound.
